Richard Ballett is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, the inaugural Policy Fellow at the Centre for Statecraft and National Security at King’s College London, and the E.H. Carr Adjunct Fellow in International Relations at the Council on Geostrategy.  He has over a decade of experience in British national security policy roles, including serving in the Joint Intelligence Organisation, the Secretary of State’s Office of Net Assessment and Challenge at the Ministry of Defence, and the Policy Planning Team at the Foreign Office.  He is currently on an extended career break from the UK Government and writing a book on the ideological origins of the New Cold War.
