Chad Wanek is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA) and an active-duty U.S. Army Strategist. In this role, Chad advises senior defense leaders on long-range military strategy, joint campaign design, and force modernization, bridging the gap between national security policy and operational execution. His research and analysis focus on the defense industrial base, future warfighting concepts, and artificial intelligence and autonomy. Prior to becoming a Non-Resident Fellow, he completed an internship at CSBA. Chad holds a Master of International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), a Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
