Pentagon Needs To Change EW Views, CSBA Says

The Defense Department (DOD) must alter the way it prepares to fight with – and buy for – electronic warfare, the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA) says in a recent report.

“DOD will ... need to address major conceptual, organizational, and programmatic impediments to progress that derive from the lack of an institutional vision for how U.S. forces should fight in the EMS (electromagnetic spectrum),” CSBA says in its report, “Winning the Airwaves, Regaining America’s Dominance in the Electromagnetic Spectrum,” released earlier this month.
