This study discusses how intermediate-range conventional missiles will be incorporated into the U.S. deterrence posture. The authors use an analytical framework based on the different ranges of U.S. and adversary missile capabilities, the geostrategic landscape, and the asymmetries in platforms and geography to shape a regionally tailored missile strategy.
