Casey Nicastro

Analyst

Casey Nicastro is an analyst at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. His work focuses on the defense budget, future warfare, and great power competition. He also manages CSBA's Strategic Choices Tool, a one-of-a-kind web-based force structure rebalancing tool. In this capacity, he utilizes open-source budget data to provide cost-informed insights on future force planning. Prior to becoming an analyst at CSBA, he served as an intern, working on issues related to U.S. and allied defense spending and force structure. Mr. Nicastro has a B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University and an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where he focused on strategic and security studies with a regional concentration on Europe and Eurasia.
