With contributions from an esteemed group of scholars and practitioners, this volume examines classical and contemporary strategic themes, with special attention to the Cold War and post- 9/11 periods. The authors review the timeless elements of strategic thought and lessons from history while exploring the significant changes brought by modernity. They assess the contributions of strategic thinkers across time and space.
