The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Evan Braden Montgomery will serve as its Director of Research and Studies and Senior Fellow, and Maureen P. Fitzgerald will serve as Director of External Affairs.
“Filling these important roles with extraordinary professionals like Evan and Maureen further strengthens the CSBA team as we continue our path to future successes in driving the national security debate”, said Dr. Thomas G. Mahnken, CSBA President and CEO.
During more than a decade at CSBA, Montgomery has conducted research on great power competition, alliance management, East Asia security, and nuclear issues, and will ensure a coherent and quality research program. In his new role, he will also be responsible for assisting the President in managing CSBA’s research program.
“I’m excited to have Evan take on this new role. His extensive experience as a senior fellow, a scholar, and in government will contribute greatly to CSBA’s research program,” Mahnken added.
Fitzgerald joined CSBA management earlier this year as the new Director of External Affairs. She served as strategic communications executive with more than 25 years in the federal and corporate sectors with skills in government affairs, corporate partnerships, reputation management, marketing, media, and crisis communication.
“Maureen adds new depth to an organization that is known for providing profound and relevant research to national security policy,” said Mahnken.
